Ja, wir haben letzte Woche über unsere Hüttentour in Südtirol gesprochen. Wir haben euch mitgenommen auf unsere ersten beiden Etappen. Wir haben erzählt, wie wir auf diese Hüttentour kamen, was überhaupt eine Hüttentour ist, ja, also für alle, die es nicht gehört haben: Hört auf jeden Fall noch mal rein in den ersten Teil. Kurz gesagt, wir haben eine sechstägige Bergwanderung gemacht in Südtirol, also Norditalien, und haben dabei eine ganze Menge erlebt. Das war ein großartiges Ereignis. Also, wenn ich von „wir“ spreche, dann meine ich Amelie, unseren Bruder Lennart und mich. Und genau, das haben wir Ende Juni gemacht. Ja, und heute steht der zweite Teil an. Wir haben aufgehört mit Etappe zwei am zweiten Wandertag. Wir sind angekommen in unserer Unterkunft, haben das Bergpanorama genossen, haben gut gegessen, gut getrunken, waren total müde und erschöpft und sind dann irgendwann glücklich eingeschlafen in unserem Dreierzimmer. Yes, last week we talked about our hut tour in South Tyrol. We took you along on our first two stages. We told you how we came up with this hut tour, what a hut tour actually is, yes, so for everyone who hasn’t heard it: Definitely listen to the first part again. In short, we did a six-day mountain hike in South Tyrol, meaning Northern Italy, and experienced a whole lot. That was a great event. So, when I say „we,“ I mean Amelie, our brother Lennart, and me. And exactly, we did that at the end of June. Yes, and today the second part is on the agenda. We left off with stage two on the second day of hiking. We arrived at our accommodation, enjoyed the mountain panorama, ate well, drank well, were totally tired and exhausted, and then at some point fell asleep happily in our triple room.
Ja, so. Und dann kam Tag drei. Yes, so. And then came day three.

Das große Problem. Wir haben euch mit einem Cliffhanger letzte Woche allein gelassen. Vielleicht wart ihr wütend, vielleicht seid ihr diesem Podcast entfolgt, vielleicht habt ihr Hasskommentare geschrieben. Wir hoffen nicht. Ja, normalerweise machen wir hier keine Cliffhanger bei Deutsches Geplapper, aber in dem Fall hat das einfach gepasst. Ja, das große Problem an Tag drei. So, was ist passiert, Amelie? The big problem. We left you with a cliffhanger last week. Maybe you were angry, maybe you unfollowed this podcast, maybe you wrote hate comments. We hope not. Yes, normally we don’t do cliffhangers here at Deutsches Geplapper, but in this case, it just fit. Yes, the big problem on day three. So, what happened, Amelie?
Ja, wir sind am Morgen aufgewacht und ich glaube, ich habe zuerst mit unserem Bruder darüber gesprochen, über das große Problem. Ja, ich habe schon gemerkt, irgendwas, irgendwas ist komisch bei unserem Bruder, irgendwas ist mit seiner Stimmung und hab ihn dann gefragt: „Was los, Bro?“ Yes, we woke up in the morning and I think I spoke to our brother about it first, about the big problem. Yes, I already noticed that something, something was strange with our brother, something was off with his mood, and then I asked him: „What’s up, bro?“
Bro. Bro.
Ja, und er sagte dann: „Es geht nichts mehr. Ich kann nicht mehr laufen. Ich konnte die ganze Nacht nicht schlafen, ich bin vor Schmerzen die ganze Nacht habe ich wachgelegen und kann mich nicht, nicht wirklich bewegen und ja, ich kann es knicken, wie man so schön sagt, dass ich hier noch weitergehen kann.“ Yes, and he then said: „Nothing works anymore. I can’t walk anymore. I couldn’t sleep all night, I lay awake all night in pain and can’t, can’t really move and yes, I can forget about it, as the saying goes, that I can keep going here.“
Genau, Rien ne va plus. So. Ja, das war ein ziemlicher Schock, ne? Wie im ersten Teil der Folge deutlich geworden ist, wir haben das von langer Hand geplant, wir haben uns alle Ewigkeiten drauf gefreut, haben es vorbereitet und waren ja auch total euphrisiert und begeistert von diesen ersten Tagen und dann so eine Nachricht kurz nach dem Aufstehen. Das war schon hart und wir wussten erstmal gar nicht, wie es weitergeht, weil wir dann, ja, dann fängt man an mit so Gedankenspielen, ne? Was macht man jetzt? Also für ihn war klar, es ist einerseits traurig, dass er diese Tour abbrechen musste, aber für ihn war es glaube ich noch viel schlimmer, dass er uns diese Tour nicht vermiesen wollte, weil er ja wusste, wir haben uns genauso gefreut und er wollte nicht, dass wir dann auf einmal ab- oder dass wir dann eben nicht weitergehen können und nicht unseren Urlaub genießen können wie geplant. Genau, und für uns war es natürlich auch so, wir wussten wie es ihm geht, ja und natürlich hatten wir den Anspruch, also ich hatte schon sehr damit zu kämpfen in den ersten Stunden, diesen Abbruch zu akzeptieren, das muss ich ganz ehrlich sagen. Das hat man mir glaube ich auch angemerkt, aber… Exactly, Rien ne va plus. So. Yes, that was quite a shock, right? As became clear in the first part of the episode, we planned this long in advance, we looked forward to it for ages, prepared it, and were also totally euphoric and enthusiastic about these first days, and then such news shortly after getting up. That was really hard and at first, we didn’t know at all how to continue because then, yes, you start with these mental games, right? What do you do now? So for him, it was clear, on the one hand, it was sad that he had to cut this tour short, but for him, I think it was much worse that he didn’t want to ruin this tour for us, because he knew that we were just as excited and he didn’t want us to suddenly call it off or that we wouldn’t be able to go on and enjoy our vacation as planned. Exactly, and for us, of course, it was also like that, we knew how he was feeling, yes, and of course, we had the expectation, well, I really struggled in the first few hours to accept this cancellation, I have to say that quite honestly. I think you could tell, but…
